Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Corporate governance involves the mechanisms, processes, and relations by which corporations are controlled and directed. Effective communication within organizations is essential for ensuring transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagement, all of which are critical components of good corporate governance. In Funtua, Katsina State, businesses and organizations are increasingly recognizing the importance of robust corporate governance practices, with communication playing a pivotal role in achieving transparency and fostering trust among stakeholders. This study will explore the link between corporate communication and corporate governance in businesses in Funtua, focusing on how communication strategies impact organizational transparency, accountability, and decision-making processes.
